Innovation is the protagonist of Progetto Fuoco, which from May 4-7 at Veronafiere will host the Innovation Village, a space dedicated to Italian and European start-ups that will present their ideas and technological projects to help reduce CO2 emissions, improve the efficiency of heating systems and digitalize the wood sector.
Altrefiamme will be present with a stall inside the Innovation Village to introduce its Digital Experience Portal for the digitalization of the wood supply chain through IoT and Blockchain.
What is the Innovation Village
Created to bring together the best start-ups and their ideas with potential partners and future investors, the Innovation Village is a space dedicated to new projects and technologies for a sector that needs an innovative drive to achieve its goals: reducing emissions, increasing efficiency and digitalizing the entire supply chain.
During the event, the Innovation Village will hold a program designed to give start-ups all the space to express their potential:
“Give My Fire” Start up Award
All start-ups will participate in the first European award for the most innovative companies in the sector, promoted by Progetto Fuoco and Blum, in collaboration with Aiel – Italian Association of Agroforestry Energies. The award wants to help small entrepreneurial realities to enter in the market, challenging the competitors through “pitch rounds”, short presentations during which they will show the validity of their product and convince investors by quickly answering to questions from the jury.
During the fair there will also be a hackaton, a “marathon of ideas” in which students, startuppers and researchers, divided into six teams, will work for an entire day to identify tech solutions to the issues proposed by three leading companies in the sector: Edilkamin, La Nordica Extraflame and Palazzetti.
The participants will be selected and guided by the professors of SMACT – Competence Center of the Northeast, the structure of technology transfer that brings together all the Universities of Triveneto, from Trieste to Bolzano, passing through Padua and Verona.
There will also be an exhibition area with panels, photos and infographics on the main trends in the industry and areas of research that could have an important impact on the woody biomasses industry.
